Historic palace with Sun temples on Shipra River island

Kaliadeh Palace is a historic monument built in 1458 CE on an island formed by two streams of the Shipra River. Originally built by the Mandu sultans, it was later renovated by the Scindias. The palace complex contains two beautiful sun temples and a sacred tank. The architecture is a unique blend of Hindu and Persian styles. It is an important historical and spiritual site near Ujjain.
